Collection of silk blouses
The Lotus Paradis collection of 100% natural silk blouses are produced under fair trade conditions. It has the advantage of being made of ecological textile fibers of exceptional quality. We choose to work with pure, hand-woven silk because of its many benefits. The natural silk fabric made in Cambodia is very light, which makes it very breathable. It is also fade resistant, easy to wash and as it is a natural fabric it is hypoallergenic. Silk clothing adapts to the temperature outside, so that it keeps you cool in the warm months of summer and warm in winter? Making clothes using this high quality of silk is the result of elaborate research and adherence to very high quality control standards. This is how Lotus Paradis has come up with its varied textures, moiré or matte effects and bright colors.
The delicate art of silk
Lotus Paradis blouses are made by Cambodian seamstresses trained in the delicate art of silk. Our blouses, which are made of pure silk, have clean, simple lines that are ideal for formal occasions. They look great when paired with our silk trousers, midi or short silk skirt. The silk blouse has great charm when worn with a summer jacket, which can be left open to show off the blouse underneath. Couture finishes like ruffles, fringes, or handmade mother of pearl buttons add irresistible sensuality to your outfits. Choose the right blouse from our range of pastel, bright coloured, black or white garments. The blouses range from casual to formal. Take your pick from our Amelia ultra-marine blue natural silk blouses, Sophia pure silk blouses and Ana angelic ivory ones.
The different types of silk
The different types of silk include taffeta, shantung, fine silk, chiffon and organza. Each type has different types of fibers, which give different appearances and textures. Taffeta reflects the light by producing beautiful effects which are sometimes even bi-colored. This natural silk represents most of our ethical collection.
Shantung silk has old century charm. It has unique characteristics because of irregular patterns and fibers that are thicker than that of the other types of silk. We use it for making coats, silk jackets, trousers, mid season dresses, and silk cocktail dresses. You will love our elegant Jackie Ivory silk dress made of pure shantung silk.
Fine silk or chiffon is an ultra-light textile fiber. Its texture makes it perfect for tunics and scarves. It is used for example in our fully lined Carole fine silk dress.
Many retailers falsely claim to sell items that are made out of pure silk, enabling them to sell them at a high price. To test wether in item is made pure silk, find a loose thread and burn it. If the smell that is produced is similar to that of burning hair, then it is genuine.

Story of Lotus Paradis
The story of Lotus Paradis all began because of the bold and adventurous spirit of its creator, Sophie Brooks. All it took was one trip for Sophie to become mesmerized by the splendour of Cambodia. She was deeply inspired by their fine silk, which is known to be one of the best in the world. Her heart was touched and her mind was made up: she wanted to set up an ethical business that would help the local female spinners, weavers and seamstresses. Today, Lotus Paradis is recognized as a premium luxury silk clothing brand. The story of Lotus Paradis continues to unfold with every new gorgeous collection.
